The new face of fitness is getting older - CNN.com

Think you're too old to workout? Think again! You may be surprised to hear that the face of fitness is not the tight-bodied baywatch bodies, but the 60+ baby boomers.

According to CNN.com, 37 percent of health club members are 55 or older, and that doesn't count people who work out at retirement homes. In addition, the average age of personal training clients is also going up.

So now you really don't have any excuses, give me a call!

Shrink Yourself: Say Goodbye to Emotional Eating - MSN Health & Fitness - Diet & Fitness

Everyone had such a strong reaction to the first article that I sent out on Binge Eating (if you missed it, it is posted on my blog), I thought this might be another one to strike an all too familiar chord in your heart (or stomach). When I sent out the last email,  I received so many heartfelt, emotional responses from people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. People everywhere are struggling to get control of their health, and lives. The answer is not in a diet book, exercise program, or pill.  The power is within you. It reminds me why I do the work I do, and why I love it.

This article is actually and excerpt from a larger book and website: Shrink Yourself. I haven't read the book, but would be interested in feedback and whether this is information that is really useful, or just another advertising ploy. The excerpt is really good though, read the entire article by clicking on the link:
